Cooling Systems for Hand-held Surgical Lasers

Problem

Hand-held surgical lasers generate a lot of heat during operation, which needs to be removed efficiently to protect the laser from damage and ensure patient safety. The laser is usually mounted in the handpiece and surrounded by glass tubing filled with cooling fluid.

Removing heat from hand-held surgical lasers requires a special type of cooling pump, which needs to be able to move large volumes of fluid at high pressures to effectively cool the laser. It also needs to be able to respond quickly to changes in cooling needs.
